An unprecedented incident took place on Saturday at its railway station Livadiawhen the doors of a train closed before a woman could get off, injuring her. The woman was trying to get off the train when the doors suddenly closed on her, trapping her in her seat.
According to the website lamianow.gr, the wife and mother of three, was trying to get off the train when the doors suddenly closed on her, trapping her in her seat. When the train started, it also dragged the woman along the concrete platform for several meters.
The incident was witnessed by the former Member of Parliament of Viotia Andreas Koutsoubaswho happened to be at the scene.
He ran after the train, yelling at the driver to stop. Afterwards and after the train stopped it was found that the woman fortunately had only minor injuries, however she was in shock.
The train, as if nothing had happened, continued its journey to Thessaloniki, but was finally forced to stop at the next station after the intervention of the prosecutor, while the train driver and supervisor were arrested in order to investigate the incident.
