In his first participation in the work of the Committees of the European Parliament, in Brussels, “as a free – now – MEP“, states the ND MEP, Fredis Beleris, in his social media post today.

The post was made in Greek and English and concerns yesterday’s meeting of the Regional Development Committee of which Mr. Beleris is a member. The competent commissioner for Regional Policy issues, Elisa Ferreira, also participated in the meeting, and, as the ND MEP notes, “we all agreed on the need for a coherent, strong and multi-level European Cohesion policy for the future”. The post is also accompanied by a photo of Mr. Beleris during the Commission meeting.

His entire post in Greek is as follows: “Yesterday I participated for the first time as a free-now MEP in the discussion of the Committee for Regional Development with the president of the Committee of the Regions Vasco Cordeiro and the Commissioner for Regional Policy Elisa Ferreira. We all agreed on the need for a coherent, strong and multi-layered European Cohesion policy for the future!”

It is recalled that Mr. Beleris has also been appointed vice-president of the Committee on Petitions of the European Parliament.
