A little tension prevailed this morning outside the office granted to the official opposition leader – and Nikos Pappas and his associates have been installed – in the wake of the decision of the Political Secretariat of SYRIZA last night.

It all started when an employee of the office tried to enter the premises, but was refused by the Parliament guard who was outside the office.

“There is an order not to let anyone in,” the guard allegedly told him. The employee claimed that he has been working in the office for a long time – before the election of Stefanos Kasselakis – stressing that it is impossible that he cannot enter.

The guard’s insistence on not allowing him to enter led to a minor incident and 3-4 members of the Parliament guard and the guard himself immediately rushed to the scene.

According to information, in the previous days there was a request from the side of Koumoundourou to the office of the President of the Parliament, in order for the next days to the office of the leader of the official opposition to allow entry only to Nikos Pappa and his partner Mr. Melahrinos.

The tension lasted for some time with the guard not allowing anyone to enter the office, as he had been instructed.

The issue was resolved a short time later with the worker – after consultations with the party – finally entering his office.

According to information, in the coming days the locks on the two doors of the opposition officer’s office will be changed with the SYRIZA party being responsible for who gets the keys.
