There was chaos in X after the post of SYRIZA MP Elena Akrita, who yesterday uploaded on Facebook a photo from the Open poll, in which SYRIZA was the fifth party.

In the background of the photo with the graph from the poll was an indoor swimming pool, which X users noticed, which caught fire.

Responding to the comments about the pool, Ms. Akrita wrote: “And to get ahead of them, yes the house has had a pool for almost 40 years, since 1985 when it was built. If I had something to hide I wouldn’t have photographed her. Don’t be afraid of the full one, be afraid of the washerwoman’s son. Who entered politics with a hole in his underpants and found himself with a colossal fortune.”

However, today the MP came back apologizing for incorrectly attributing the phrase “do not be afraid of the full, be afraid of the washerwoman’s son” to Lenin:

“I would like to correct something I wrote yesterday. The phrase ‘fear not the full, fear the washerwoman’ is wrongly attributed to Lenin. Error. A mistake that many have made, myself among them, more than once. Lenin would never have written something so disparaging and I should have evaluated and cross-referenced it. I am truly sorry,” he wrote.
