The president of PASOK-KINAL said that “now the difficult times are behind us”
“PASOK does not want to suffer what has happened to SYRIZA with a prolonged introversion, with a divisive approach and with counterclaims of the executives among themselves, which in the end benefit New Democracy and Mr. Mitsotakis. That’s why on October 6 and 13, you the members, the friends of PASOK, evaluate whether in these two and a half years we have achieved a lot or not achieved anything”, said the president of PASOK – KINAL Nikos Androulakis in his speech from Larissa, speaking before his supporters Movement.
At the same time, the president of PASOK-KINAL said that “now the difficult times are behind us” to emphasize that “three times in the 50 years of the post-revolutionary period, the third party managed to break the millstones of bipartisanship”.
“The one time happened in 1977 from PASOK. The second time happened in 2012 by SYRIZA but in unprecedented economic conditions for the Greek people. The third time is now. So the difficult step of leaving the millstones, of leaving the question of “who will you go with” and for the citizens to expect you not to be a supplement but to be the force that will politically overturn the current unfavorable reality for the Greek people, it is here and now in front of us” said Mr. Androulakis and added: “So there is no opportunity that was brought by the stork or any opportunity that was given to us. Because some people use the words of Kostas Simitis. Yes, we have a great opportunity on the table. Did they give it to us? Did we find her under the citadel? Thousands of people all over Greece fought for this opportunity since the difficult years when we were playing for our political survival”.
At the same time, he sent the message inside the party, saying that “if some people think that we will allow the return of bad attitudes, personal strategies and adventures that brought us to the brink of PASOK being closed in the closet of history, they are laughing.”
Referring to the state of the Economy, Mr. Androulakis argued that “there is no free market, but an unregulated market”, saying at the same time that “not only are there no rules in the market, but there is no state to enforce the rules either”. He also spoke about the destruction of Thessaly and reiterated that in order to “run the new developments, a Task Force needs to be set up with the self-government, the state and the scientific community”. Regarding the problem of accuracy, he said that there is a need to reduce the VAT on basic goods, while he reiterated the need to operate a Single Consumer Authority.
