The ND MP directly asked the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia what actions his country will take to ensure full compliance with the Prespa Agreement
ND Member of Parliament, Yannis Oikonomou, during the proceedings of the plenary session of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, asked – as a representative of the European People’s Party – to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, Timcho Mucunski, questions concerning the attitude of North Macedonia to the EU and Greece.
In particular, he emphasized to Mr. Mucunski that respect for the European acquis and international agreements, such as the Prespa Agreement and especially with regard to its key articles and provisions, such as the naming issue and the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation with Bulgaria, is not they are just bilateral issues but also a fundamental condition for the European integration of the Western Balkan countries (including North Macedonia).
Mr. Economou directly asked Mr. Mucunski what actions his country will take to ensure full compliance with the Prespa Agreement and the fulfillment of its obligations towards the EU, respecting all international agreements in full.
