“No one can play with Hellenism” said the ND MEP Freddy Beleris in his speech
At an event organized tonight in Patras by ONNED Achaia, on the occasion of the completion of 50 years since the foundation of the organization, the ND MEP Freddy Beleris spoke.
As he emphasized in his speech, “Greece is a leading force in the Balkans and a pillar of stability in the eastern Mediterranean”, adding: “No one can play with Hellenism and this was the message of the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, by placing me as a candidate MEP”.
At the same time, he said that “it is very moving for me the fact that while I was in prison, people who did not know me supported me” and continued:
“This shows the factional DNA and in general the patriotism of the Greeks and I will never forget it. From my position in the European Parliament, I will perhaps fight even more strongly for what I would fight for as the mayor of Heimarra. Now of course I have more responsibilities and greater possibilities, so that I can defend all our national issues”.
Freddy Beleris also pointed out that “the current prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, was the first Greek prime minister to visit Heimarra, in a historic visit, where he showed the world that he is not alone and that he has Greece to protect him”.
Addressing the young men and women who participated in the event, he noted among other things: “I want you to be proud, because you belong to the faction that put Greece in Europe, that kept Greece in Europe. You are in the lineup that is connected to all the national matches and big wins. It was my obligation to accompany this faction since 1991 when I first came to Greece from Heimarra. You are on the right side of history. Be more courageous, be more ahead of us older ones. We hope and expect to deliver you a better Greece and you to take it even further”.
