“The things that happen to SYRIZA they have disappointed leftist and progressive citizens, they have generally disappointed. Incredible things have happened that we need to discuss today in the Central Committee. There are accusations against the collective organs of the party, there are accusations of interference, diversion, hoods”, said Thanasis Theocharopoulos, a member of the Political Secretariat of SYRIZA-PS, to SKAI and on the show “Kalimera” with Fai Mavragani.

Mr. Theocharopoulos accused St. Kasselakis that he does not respect the collective decisions of the party. “The collective decisions of our party, after the removal of confidence and the motion of censure, say that he is a former president of SYRIZA. Therefore, (St. Kasselakis) does not respect the collective decisions of the party. One must respect the decisions of collective bodies. He cannot be referred to as president while deposed. All this is not consistent with wanting to have a position of responsibility,” he said.

Referring to today’s extraordinary meeting of the party’s Central Committee, Mr. Theocharopoulos pointed out that “the discussion is whether the nominations will be approved. He talks about diversions, entanglements and hoods. All these elements must be discussed today in the Central Committee.”

He also claimed that Stefanos Kasselakis did not actually withdraw the out-of-court case. “If someone takes back the extrajudicial, who said ‘I was justified and well done’, you basically don’t take it back. You say “I did it well”, he said characteristically.

He also described as “unacceptable” the leak of Stefanos Kasselakis’ Pothen Esshes, although as he said – “I can’t understand all this nonsense that has been going on for the last month about the Pothen Esshes”.

“It is clear that Stefanos Kasselakis has a huge insecurity and fear for the base. A former president when he makes an extradition to his party and it is mentioned that he is still the president, with hoods, with diversions, only if he himself wants not to go to an election it is,” he added.

Asked if he will remain in SYRIZA if Stefanos Kasselakis is in charge, Mr. Theocharopoulos replied: “The goal is not to leave anyone, it is to make SYRIZA strong – PS. From there, the issue is not whether he will stay but whether he will sue and send his companions to court.”
