“The Greeks are building a paved road to the top of the rock island”
A provocative article was published in the Turkish newspaper SOZCU on the occasion of projects on the rocky island of Strogyli.
“Three months ago, the Mitsotakis government built and commissioned a ferry pier on the islet of Ro located next to Kastellorizo. After the construction of the jetty on the island, which is characterized as an island that cannot be armed and occupied, according to the Treaty of Lausanne, this time asphalt paving work began on another rock island” reports the newspaper as transmitted by the SKAI correspondent in City of Manolis Kostidis.
“The Greeks attempted to transport construction machinery to Strongyli, located 1,600 meters east of Kastellorizos, where not even a pin is allowed to be built, in order to build a paved road.”
“The regional governor Giorgos Hatzimarkos said: “The project has a small budget but great value. We are building a road network to adorn the islands that make up the necklace of Kastelorizos, with pride!”.
