The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Hieronymos was visited today at noon in the Holy Archdiocese by the ND MEP Fredis Beleris, who, according to his statement after the meeting, emphasized that he visited the Primate of the Greek Church in order to express his gratitude for the long-term support of the Church to northern mainland Hellenism, as well as “for his undivided support when I was imprisoned in the prisons of Rama and I will never forget that when my candidacy was announced by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, he was the first person to receive my son and give his blessing , so that the candidacy goes very well”.
For his part, Archbishop Hieronymos stated: “I am happy and moved, because our efforts for a good reason, a good deed, so that this result can come, is a fruit of good will from many places. Personally, I felt that I had and still have an obligation for such behavior. There are reasons of history and sympathy, we love our neighbor Albania very much. Fortunately, it seems that the era of divisions leaves room for better actions and deeds. The arrival of Mr. Beleris is an opportunity to renew our relations.”
Fredis Beleris was accompanied by the former Minister of State, Stavros Papastavros and the candidate mayor of Chimarras, Petros Gikourias, while the director of the Press Office of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, Haris Konidaris, was also present at the meeting.
