The Athens Psila Municipal Party reports that Mr. Bakoyannis was verbally attacked by the deputy mayor of the Municipal Police and Public Common Areas – The announcement of the Municipality of Athens
The faction of Kostas Bakoyannis is demanding the resignation of the deputy mayor of Athens, Thomas Georgiadis, after a verbal attack he received, as he himself complains.
In particular, in a statement, the Municipal Party Athens Psila states that Kostas Bakoyiannis was verbally attacked by the deputy mayor of the Municipal Police and Public Common Areas, Thomas Georgiadis, during today’s meeting of the Municipal Council.
“If you continue, it will be a disaster,” said the deputy mayor of Mr. Duke, the faction of Mr. Bakoyannis.
In the same announcement it is stated that everything happened when Mr. Bakoyiannis pointed out the unanswerable mistakes and omissions of the Municipal Authority.
1. For the sealing of the store in question that served alcohol to minors and in which the Municipal Council unanimously decided to proceed. In the rush of the Municipal Authority for self-promotion, the decision closed the wrong store, with the wrong operating license.
2. For the message of the chief of the Municipal Police conveying an order from the municipal authority not to carry out checks for illegal parking outside a specific store.
3. For the ostentatious indifference of the Municipal Authority in Longinou Park, where a private person with table seats has occupied the entire public space and at the same time has made permanent interventions in the green space.
“It is obvious that the Mayor’s indifference to the city leads the Municipal Authority to make huge mistakes that make it lose its temper,” the same announcement emphasizes.
“Such behaviors inside and outside the Municipal Council hall do not honor Athens. They are a clear threat and refer to other times. As it does not honor Athens and the silence of Mr. Duke” he adds.
The response of the Municipality of Athens:
Mr. Bakoyannis
1. He did not apologize to the Municipal Council for the obvious lie he told in a nationwide media, that we allegedly sealed the wrong store. An issue for which today the Municipality of Athens was vindicated in court, to which the owner of the store had appealed.
2. He tried to slander the Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Police, saying that he allegedly gave an order not to carry out checks in a certain store.
This is conscious slander because he knew that the relevant unacceptable order – made by sms – was given by an official, for which disciplinary proceedings were immediately initiated and the controls were carried out normally.
After all, this issue was discussed in detail in the media on Friday and he should have known about it.
It is obvious that the competent Deputy Mayor reserves the right to exercise his legal rights against Mr. Bakoyannis, for his slanderous defamation.
