Mitsotaki – Solz meeting on the sidelines of the Versailles Summit

by

The Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, had four meetings with the German Chancellor, Olaf Solz, yesterday on the sidelines of the informal Summit of 27 European leaders in Versailles, according to government sources.

The same people are talking about a substantive discussion in view of the day after tomorrow’s meeting of the Greek Prime Minister with the President of Turkey, Tayyip Erdogan, in Istanbul, as the next day, Monday, March 14, Mr. Solz will also visit Turkey to meet with the President of Turkey.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis’s meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will take place next Sunday in Istanbul with an expanded agenda.

As SKAI’s correspondent in Istanbul, Manolis Kostidis, told SKAI’s noon news bulletin, the atmosphere in the Turkish presidential palace is much better than in the past, while the fact that Erdogan addressed a personal invitation to the Greek Prime Minister to meet His presidential residence shows the will of the Turkish side for this meeting.

The Greek-Turkish and Ukrainian crises will be on the agenda of the meeting, while an extensive discussion is expected on energy issues, as well as refugees.

It is noted that first Kyriakos Mitsotakis will visit the Ecumenical Patriarchate for the celebration of Orthodox Sunday, then he will meet with Bartholomew and then go to the presidential residence. However, the exact time of the meeting has not been determined yet.
