For today debate the goal is twofold. On the one hand, the candidates for his presidency SYRIZA to highlight their program and convince the public that they can achieve the recovery of the party and on the other hand all four manage to rally the old base. The latter venture is not at all easy with what has happened in the last year in Koumoundourou accompanied by a poll collapse.

At the same time in Kasselaki camp they are preparing, probably on Saturday in Zappeion, not only to present the founding declaration of the new organization, but to block people who would go to the SYRIZA polls. The ferments and contacts of the former president with parliamentarians are continuous and as has been said several times apart from Theodora Tzakri, Evangelos Apostolakis and Iota Poulos are currently the most likely to press the “red button” and leave the parliamentary group.

Today, they will try to leave behind the conflict of the last few months Socrates Famous, Pavlos Polakis, Nicholas Farandouris and Apostolos Gletsos.

It is expected, however, that they will criticize Stefanos Kasselakis.

In SYRIZA, they also made a spot with the central slogan: “Dynamic forward”. “For a strong SYRIZA, for the voice of the left-wing, progressive citizens to be heard again, for the voice of society to be heard again” is stated in the pre-election video. For the election of congressmen, according to the official figures of Koumoundourou, 43,000 citizens came to vote. If this number is doubled by members and friends at the polls on Sunday it will be considered a very significant success, given the circumstances in which the election is being held.

A website has been created for several days which hosts the program of the four presidential candidates who will compete in the evening in the following thematic sections: economy, climate crisis, social state/party-organization, foreign policy.

The debate will take place according to the standards of PASOK, however an attempt will be made to make the dialogue between the candidates last longer. The duration of each journalistic question, regarding the four thematic sections, should not exceed 30″ and the duration of each answer 120″.

They will accept follow up questions and each answer will not exceed 60”. In each section, each of the candidates will have the right to ask a question to one or two fellow candidates. Each question must not exceed 30″ and each answer 120″. The debate will conclude with the presentation of each candidate’s personal vision, lasting up to 180”.
