The SYRIZA president candidate had a meeting with artists and people of culture, Socrates Famousa few days before the internal party elections.

The attendees discussed with the candidate president of SYRIZA “about the serious issues that concern the field of culture, as well as proposals for cultural policy, artistic education, the needs and rights of creators and workers, and the inseparable relationship of culture with social cohesion, democracy and progress” as Mr Famellos himself wrote in his post.

The artists, some of whom are personal friends of Mr. Famellos, wished him “good success” ahead of Sunday’s elections. Among the names that attended the meeting were George Dalarash Yota Nega, the George Margaritis, or Anastasia Moutsatsouh Katerina Misichroni and others.

“The goal is to have a relationship between culture and politics that we wish to continue even after the elections, but also to have a channel of communication between artists, so that the problems of the industry can be highlighted and solved,” the presidential candidate told reporters of the party.
