The speech K. Karamanli in Patras, during the presentation of Giorgos Harvalia’s book “Yavol”, attracts the eyes of all blue executives

In the Achaean capital, the ND spotlight is on today, after the “parentheses” – as it is characterized by government officials – of the internal party disturbance, caused by the deletion of Antonis Samaras from the party, after the accusations and insults he hurled against government policy, mainly on national issues.
The presence of former Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis in Patras, where he will deliver a speech during the presentation of Giorgos Harvalia’s book “Yavol”, attracts the attention of all blue-collar officials, as it is estimated that he will contribute decisively to the transformation of the internal party climate triggered by the latest developments .
The common pace that was observed in a series of issues between the two former prime ministers, Costas Karamanlis and Antonis Samaras, in the recent past until recently, with joint presences or absences, such as their refusal to attend the celebration for the 50 years of ND in Rigillis, can rightly raise concerns about the attitude of Mr. Karamanlis. However, the different approach of the two predecessors of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in the criticism they exercised and are exercising in government policy, is also known and recorded.
“At the moment we are having a hypothetical discussion that has no contact with the real data” commented the government representative when asked about the attitude of Mr. Karamanlis, stressing that “every position and speech of a former Prime Minister has value. And we always welcome comments and observations.” From then on, repeated Mr. Marinakis, the government’s dedication to its work, overcoming the internal party “misdeeds” and looking ahead. “We are looking at our job, to implement the program for which we were elected and we still have two and a half years ahead of us,” said the government spokesman and focused particularly on the economy, citing budget figures that show “the true will of the government with numbers, with concrete facts, not words of air. We will continue in this direction in all the other policies, in all the other individual aspects of our policy.”
According to information, however, any “common line” between Samaras and Karamanlis against the government is not confirmed anywhere. What is expected is the former prime minister from Patras, to speak about everything, to express concerns and concerns, as he has already done in other public positions in the past, without, however, going beyond the limits of constructive criticism. “He never adopted the tones of Antonis Samaras,” commented an interlocutor of Kostas Karamanlis, drawing a clear dividing line between the two former ND leaders.
The same sources estimate that Kostas Karamanlis will not avoid referring to the deletion of Antonis Samaras, but in a unifying way and with messages to all sides. He is expected to focus on the need for solidarity and unity within the blue faction, but also to judge at the same time that the disciplinary measures do not help in this direction.
Megaros Maximos, however, rejects any risks related to the loss of unity in the party’s parliamentary group and the existence of different “currents” within the ND, citing the unified stance that all officials, governmental and parliamentary, have taken towards the Samara issue . “All of our MPs who were appointed gave answers, which were the answers given by the Government as a whole” observed Mr. Marinakis and re-underlined the condition of the stability of the country, which should not enter into any balance “especially for matters of minor importance or the adoption of opinions, which have nothing to do with reality” he noted meaningfully.
