“Ms. Linou and anyone can participate in the political processes of PASOK, if they agree with us politically,” said Mr. Androulakis
“Obviously our role has been upgraded institutionally, but we will do the work we were supposed to do. The job is to be reliable, serious, programmatic. Whatever problem there is, let us also have a progressive solution. So that the world of PASOK can see a progressive government that will improve living conditions”, the PASOK-KINAL president said to SKAI and on the show “Kalimera” with Fai Mavragani Nikos Androulakis.
Mr. Androulakis emphasized that “we have a government that constantly celebrates the results it brings economically and socially, but the indicators and the reality show completely different things.
“The ND’s new tactic is that PASOK is SYRIZA. Those who have condemned the country to decay are trying to portray us as populists. To celebrate Mr. Mitsotakis and Mr. Georgiadis when the people they govern have the second lowest purchasing power in all European countries? Should they celebrate when business profits are third from the top and wages are second from the bottom?” he added.
Asked to comment on developments in SYRIZA, Mr. Androulakis said: “I am only happy with the situation in PASOK, that it is united, serious, and has renewed its political staff. It already has a very large moral and political capital that we should not spend. We achieved it with a lot of struggle, personal and collective”.
Asked if PASOK will work with former SYRIZA executives, Mr. Androulakis replied: “Whoever wants to talk to PASOK can come and participate in regional and central conferences and together we can form a political front. Ms. Linou and anyone can participate in the political processes, if they agree politically with us. You will never see me and PASOK going into the background, buying over consciences and parliamentarians, as those who denounce such practices did today”
“Whoever wants a political approach with PASOK, politically and in the foreground with political dialogue and convergence on the big issues that our country needs to change”, he clarified.
Regarding the possibility of a meeting with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Mr. Androulakis estimated that their meeting will take place before 2025.
