Nikos Androulakis, Sokratis Famellos and Stefanos Kasselakis expressed their condolences for the 2 deaths from the bad weather yesterday in Limnos

The president of PASOK-Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis, contacted by phone with the mayor of Lemnos, Eleonora George and the mayor of Rhodes, Alexandros Koliadis in order to be informed about the disasters caused by the flood phenomena and the problems faced by the residents. He sent his sincere condolences to the mayor of Lemnos for the loss of our two fellow citizens.

The president of SYRIZA-PS Sokratis Famellos is in constant communication with the local and regional authorities of the areas affected by the bad weather while a coordination center is meeting on the 7th floor of Koumoundourou.

“I want to express my sincere condolences to the families of our fellow citizens who lost their lives and my undivided support to those operating in the field.

The serious problems throughout Greece prove the country’s significant deficits in resilience and armor against the climate crisis and natural disasters.

We are constantly monitoring the development of the bad weather with a coordination center from our offices in Koumoundourou and we are in constant communication with all the institutional bodies and with our executives from the areas affected by the bad weather” said Mr. Famellos.

Stefanos Kasselakis also expressed his condolences by posting on X.

“I express my condolences to the families of our two fellow citizens who lost their lives yesterday in Lemnos.

At these times the residents of Rhodes and Lemnos are tested. Damage to the road network, to businesses, to homes.

A big thank you to the staff of the Fire Service and the volunteers who helped free dozens of our fellow citizens.

We call on the government to listen IMMEDIATELY to the fair demands of seasonal firefighters for permanent positions without age restrictions. Civil Protection needs stable and adequately equipped human resources for the safety of citizens,” he says.
