Giorgos Apostolakis resigned from his parliamentary seat after being elected on the Niki ballot.

The relevant letter of resignation was submitted a while ago to the presidium of the Parliament and was immediately announced to the Plenary of the Parliament, by the vice-president Giorgos Georgantas.

According to party sources, Mr. Apostolakis resigned for health reasons, as he himself had suffered a serious heart attack, and has since distanced himself from his parliamentary work, resigning from the committees in which he participated.

After his resignation, he posted on his personal account: “NO COMMENTS. I inform you that with my statement to Mr. President of the Parliament, I resigned from the parliamentary position and returned my seat to NIKI»

However, his post a few hours ago makes an impression, with which he seemed to announce his current move: “IT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE TO DEAL WITH WEAR AND ROT ANYMORE. IT GETS INCREDIBLY DIRTY. BUT AGAIN, YOU CAN’T NOT HAVE HOPE.”

The first alternate on the State ballot is professor Athanasios Ragovalis.
