“The institution of the president of the Republic should be embodied by persons who are distinguished for their morals, integrity, resilience and not by persons who can be liked by everyone and ready for anything. Our opinion is that the president of the Republic with the powers given to him by the Constitution must be a person willing to defend the citizens and the Republic at any cost“, estimates the President of Freedom of Navigation, Zoe Konstantopoulou.

“Mr. Ramos is clearly a person of high standing and morals, and it is our view that it is absolutely useful to renew his term as chairman of the communications privacy authority. That is, this term in which he received terrible attacks, this term during which he acted on the basis of duty“, he adds, stressing that he has personally emphasized that it is very important that such persons are supported to complete their duty and he has even said the same about the citizen’s advocate.

“I will hold meetings with the political leaders in the next few days. I have already contacted Mr. Koutsoubas by phone, tomorrow I will see Mr. Haritsis and Mr. Androulakis and then the rest of the leaders. I will seek to see them all and inform them of the initiative to form an opposition council which can discuss all issues that require both cross-party debate and a strong opposition presence and action within the city“he summarizes by stating, among other things, that there have obviously been thoughts from the side of the faction, about a specific person who could be the next president of the Republic, without however wanting to say more at this stage as he believes that the first person to whom he should what we can agree on is that the president of the Republic cannot be a subservient, ambivalent person, susceptible to pressure and that the opposition as a whole is asking for such a person.
