His great research Observatory of Disability Issues of ESAMEA for the access of people with disabilities, chronic/rare diseases to Health, delivered a delegation of ESAmeA led by its president Ioannis Vardakastanisthe second vice president Christos Daramila and the deputy organizational secretary Vasili Dimoto the Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis.

Key conclusions of the research:

· 78% of respondents with a disability, chronic/rare condition have reduced spending on basic living needs, such as food or clothing, to meet their inelastic health needs.

· 31% of people with a disability/chronic/rare condition experienced great difficulty in getting the health services they needed in the last two years.

· A significant proportion of people with a disability/chronic/rare condition report being denied at least once medication or other medicinal products (34%), rehabilitation services (33%) and mental health services (30%).

· 43% of people with a disability/chronic/rare condition were found to lack necessary dental care, 40% needed diagnostic tests they were unable to perform and 39.5% did not have access to at least one necessary medical examination or treatment against the last two years.

At the meeting it was agreed that there will be a next meeting after the holidays where the research team of the Disability Observatory will present the research in detail to the leadership of the Ministry of Health.
