After a barrage of meetings with his close associates, the President of PASOK will say goodbye in 2024 with his own people.
It was a year when the President of PASOK was called to fight the battle of the European elections as well as the internal party elections. Now from the position of the leader of the Official Opposition, he is called upon to inspire with his strategy, the structural and reliable opposition of PASOK with the aim of political change.
“For the ND government to go, another style of opposition is needed, an effective opposition is needed. As PASOK grows stronger, so will the voice of the people against a government that does not care“, said Nikos Androulakis in a recent interview.
Christmas in Trikala
These days the president of PASOK is visiting Trikala with his son. The president of PASOK did not miss the opportunity to experience the magic of Christmas up close at the Mill of the Elves. The official opposition leader visited the largest Christmas theme park in the country, where he was guided by the Mayor of Trikkaia, Nikos Sakkas, present to the Regional Governor of Thessaly, Dimitris Kouretas.
Mr. Androulakis visited stands of Mylos ton Xotic, expressing his enthusiasm for the whole event, comparing it with counterparts abroad.
Together with the president of PASOK were pr. MP Giorgos Oikonomou and the former deputy mayor of Trikkaia Thodoros Spanos, while from the side of the Municipality of Trikkaia there was the deputy mayor of Environment and Rural Development Panagiotis Dintis.
New Year in Crete
In his hometown of Crete, Nikos Androulakis is expected to change the year by observing the customs and enjoying family moments. Moments of relaxation are necessary, as things are heating up in Harilaou Trikoupi and the pressure on the Government is expected to intensify with barrage of parliamentary proposals from the new year. Of course, the productive work will continue in the party as well, with the meetings of the organs, the Central Committee and the Political Council pending after the re-election of the President, being held in January. In the President’s program in Crete, however, there will also be meetings with local bodies, as his interest in local issues is a given.
Epiphany at the Patriarchate
In recent years, the President of PASOK has been celebrating Epiphany at the Patriarchate, a tradition he will continue this year as the official opposition leader. It is also known that he maintains excellent relations with the Patriarch Bartholomew.
