The political and physical leadership of the Hellenic Police offered gifts to traffic police officers, who today, Tuesday, December 31, 2024, performed traffic regulation service in Syntagma and in Piraeus, Kifissia, Aegaleo and Glyfada.

The Minister of Citizen Protection, M. Chrysochoidis, attended Syntagma Square, where he spoke with the police officers and offered them symbolic gifts, exchanging wishes for the new year.

As the minister mentioned, “our promise, our commitment, from end to end of the Greek territory, is to keep our Greece stable, our cities safe and the citizens to feel that we are always by their side, protecting them. This is our mission and we will serve it.”

Mr. Chrysochoidis was accompanied by the head of the Greek Police, lieutenant general Dimitrios Mallios, the general police director of Attica, lieutenant general Ioannis Skouras and the director of the Attica Traffic Directorate, Brigadier General Christos Papafilippou.

In Piraeus, the gifts were offered by the Deputy Minister of Citizen Protection, Andreas Nikolakopoulos, accompanied by the Deputy Chief of the Hellenic Police, Lieutenant General Paschalis Syritoudis, the Head of the Security Branch of the Hellenic Police Headquarters, Major General Marino Stagakis and the Director of the Piraeus Police Directorate, Brigadier Aristidis Liberato.

The Secretary General of Public Order, Panagiotis Stathis, offered gifts to traffic officers in Kifissia, accompanied by the Inspector General of the Police of Southern Greece, Lieutenant General Georgios Michalopoulos and the director of the North-Eastern Attica Police Directorate, Brigadier General Panagiotis Alexandropoulos.

Finally, in Aigaleo the gifts were offered by the head of the Administrative Support and Human Resources Branch, Lieutenant General Dimitrios Bakolas and the director of the Western Attica Police Directorate, Brigadier General Lykourgos Bitsakakis, while in Glyfada gifts were offered to police officers by the assistant chief of staff of the Hellenic Police Headquarters, Lieutenant General Christos Manouras and the director of the Southeast Attica Police Department, Brigadier General Angelos Papagelis.

Alongside the offering of gifts, they had the opportunity to thank the traffic police for their important contribution to road safety and to exchange wishes for the new year.
