Statements about the extraordinary crises in the Armed Forces, in the ranks of vice-general and sub-general, vice-admiral and rear-admiral PN and vice-captain and vice-captain that he requested today from the head of the General Directorate of Defense General Dimitrios Houpis, were made tonight in Patras by the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias.

In particular, Nikos Dendias stated, that “the crises appear as extraordinary, but in fact it is a consistent step, following the decision on the merger of camps and units and the new force structure, which was passed by the Parliament and approved by the CYSEA“, adding:

“The Greek Armed Forces they suffer from a hydrocephalus, which is completely incompatible with the 2030 agenda, or to put it schematically, the Greek army cannot have more senior officers than the American army which is 20 times bigger.

As of course he cannot have more camps. Therefore, in the context of the 2030 agenda, there must be rationalization and this had to be done as quickly as possible in order to proceed to the next steps of the modernization of the Armed Forces”.
