Penalty of imprisonment from two to four years and exclusion from active policy asks for the Mayor of Constantinople Irem Imamoglou The General Prosecutor’s Office of Constantinople, as transmitted by Manolis Kostidis.

Mr Imamoglou is accused of the offense of “attempting to influence a judicial officer, expert or witness”.

The trial will take place on April 11th.

For this crime, the city’s judicial authorities are seeking imprisonment of up to four years along with deprivation of the right to be elected.

In the context of the same indictment, the Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office is also requesting a sentence of six to 14 years for Halk TV television reporters, Baris Pechlivan and Kyursada Oyuz, as well as in prison from four to nine years for his director Presenter Senda Selek and editor -in -chief Serhan Asker.

The network had published a telephone conversation from its reporters with the expert who had revealed his name by Imoglou and are accused of not informed of him that he was recorded and published the conversation.
