NIKIS president wonders if the Gallery’s Directorate would dare to exhibit “artworks” that would offend the religion of Muslims or Jews
The vandalism of NIKI MP, Nikos Papadopoulos The National Gallery commented on a post by the party’s president, Dimitrios Natsios.
In a post on X, he did not take a stand on the incident but referred to the announcement issued by the party and then wondering if the Gallery’s address would dare to exhibit “artworks” that would offend the religion of Muslims or Jews.
Specifically in his post states:
“Much has been heard today about the episode of blasphemous works in the Gallery. NIKI has issued a press release and has taken a formal position.
Will I ask the Mrs. Minister of Culture: Would the Gallery’s Directorate dare to exhibit “artworks” that would offend the religion of Muslims or Jews?
Why does it allow this to do this for Orthodox Christians?
On the one hand, the Government and the President of the Republic are supposedly commemorating the Sunday of Orthodoxy and the restoration of the sacred icons and on the other they let our Lady and our saints be vandalized.
Shame and just shame. “
