OR Independent MP Athena Linou He will be a regular member of the preliminary committee against the former Deputy Minister under Prime Minister Christos Triantopoulos, to investigate a possible commitment of the offense of the breach of duty (No. 259 CC) between 3-2-2023 and 6-3-2023, in terms of his interference.

Mrs Linou was drawn today among the 10 independent MPs who expressed, by letter to Parliament Speaker Nikita Kaklamanis, their interest in participating in the Special Committee.

Participation as a member of the Commission and an independent MP had been deemed necessary for its representativeness in relation to the plenary body, as the House today has a total of 23 independent MPs.

The deadline for completing the committee’s work and the submission of its finding is set for two months of its establishment.

The Secretariat Support of the Commission will have the Directorate of Special Permanent Committees, and observance of practices It will be done by the Directorate of Stenching and Practices of the House.

OR first meeting of the preliminary committee It was set to take place at 10am on Tuesday, March 18, in the “President of Athanasios Konstantinos Tsaldaris” (223) for the election of its Bureau. According to the CBB at this first meeting of the Special Committee on the nomination, by secret ballot, its bureau will be chaired by Parliament Speaker Nikitas Kaklamanis.
