In front of the President of the Republic, Konstantinos Tasoula, and in the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, he was sworn in earlier by the Archimandrite of the Holy Synod, Archimandrite Ioannis Karamouzis, Stavros Kalafatis, as Deputy Minister of Development.

Immediately after his swearing -in, Mr. Kalafatis made the following statement:

“I would like to thank the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, for his confidence. Research and innovation are essential components of growth in the new era. They help society, create new jobs, boost the national economy. The message is a few words, a lot of work, tangible results. This is the way, that’s the goal. “

Mr Kalafatis, is a member of the ND in Thessaloniki and was appointed Deputy Minister after the resignation of Aristos Doxiadis, just two days after the reshuffle and the day after his swearing -in.

Mr. Doxiadis had announced his resignation by posting on social media.
