The meeting for Ukraine convened in Paris by the French President, Emmanuel Macrontoday, is the first part of the Prime Minister’s visit, Kyriakou Mitsotakisin the French capital. There will be the majority of EU leaders. But also the leadership of European institutions, and in particular the President of the European Council, Antonio Costaand the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Layen, as well as NATO Secretary -General, Mark Rutte. The meeting is convened at a critical juncture on the course of the peace process in Ukraine.

On the second part of the Prime Minister’s visit to Paris, tomorrow Friday, a meeting with the Champs -Elysees will take place with the Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron, the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulidesand the president of Lebanon, Joseph Aun.

This is the first four -member meeting of four countrieswhich takes place at the highest level and at a critical juncture for regional developments in the wider region. Similar schemes of cooperation have been shown to be supportive as stability and security factors, while our country’s participation confirms the upgraded role it plays. It is recalled that the prime minister was the first foreign leader to visit Lebanon last December, shortly after reaching the truce agreement and had declared Greece’s readiness to assist in strengthening Lebanese state structures.

On Sunday, Kyriakos Mitsotakis will go to Israelwhere he will meet with the Israeli president Isaac Hertzog and the prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In addition to confirming the strong strategic alliances between the two countries, the visit to Israel is in a crisis with a juncture on the course of the electric connection project Greece – Cyprus – Israelwhich is expected to be at the center of the discussions as the re -opening of the cable to re -establish.
