• Obligation of urban regeneration and improvement of bioclimatic indicators with a focus on green and painting in public spaces of € 3.2 million, also through the OHE.

Attica Regional Governor Nikos Chardalias, in his statements after the meeting, said:

“I am used to being very careful in the way I structure my plan for the region, and its 66 ‘neighborhoods’. Why do I say that? Because there is a general logic that says that in order to be liked we have to say “yes” to everything. But from the first moment I made it clear: those for which we will commit to the citizens, will be what we will really be able to implement.

We are proceeding with a number of important projects for each municipality and creating a new “tank” to integrate additional projects, with the discussion starting in June. These additional projects at the end of our term should have been implemented, or at least definitively launched. That is, they should be active construction sites if anything. Anything else, for me would be a failure. “

The regional governor then conducted an autopsy at the Municipal Stadium of Petersburg, where the project is expected to begin soon and the overall upgrading of existing facilities. During the visit, he was informed by the technical steps on the progress of studies and licensing and emphasized the importance of this athletic infrastructure as a reference point for the youth and sport of the wider area.

“The Municipal Stadium of Petersburg is not just an infrastructure project, it is a place of life for citizens. Sport is a pillar of health, social cohesion and opportunities for our young people. And the region is present to ensure that these spaces are safe, functional and modern, “he said.
