“There will be other initiatives to support the middle class and the Greeks in terms of travel,” The Minister of Maritime and Island Policy, Vassilis Kikilias, told SKAI.

The minister estimated that from 1 May, there will be hacking to raising ticket prices and to some cases there will be Even reductions.

He said, despite the increases announced by the ferry companies due to the increase in the EU fuel fee, the government with a provision in Parliament has already reduced the port fees for all ports by 50%.

“This initiative, coupled with a drop of 8-9% on the price of fuel on the world market, is estimated to cover any difference,” The minister added.

For the speeding who do not change their fuel mixture, Mr. Kikilias estimated that there will be best prices in family tickets.

“The market is free, there is competition and accordingly the ferry companies are regulating it,” said.

“In the winter months there must be a ferry connection of the islands with mainland Greece”, The Minister noted.
