An informal preparatory meeting on the issue of security in university institutions was held today, under Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Maximos Palace.

At the meeting attending government officials, it was decided in the next few days that the leadership of the Ministry of Education would present specific proposals, which would be translated into immediate initiatives.

The word “key” of interventions- according to government officials- will be “consequences”. Both on the criminal and disciplinary level and at the urban, for the perpetrators.

At the same time, there will be consequences in individual cases of university institutions that do not comply with the application of the law or corresponding decisions.

In addition, the implementation of security plans by all universities becomes urgent.

As government officials have pointed out, both dozens of discharge and successful operations of the Greek Police have shown, following the abolition of asylum in lawy by the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, as well as the measures implemented on the stadiums and, for the first time in the stadiums.
