NATO plans in its eastern wing “dangerous” and “destabilizing” for Russia

by

Russia’s diplomacy vehemently opposed NATO plans to set up four additional multinationals on its eastern flank on Thursday.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova described the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) as “dangerous and destabilizing”.

“Europe’s militarization is accelerating” because of the “alliance”‘s actions, he said, adding that NATO reaffirms its anti-Russian orientation.

Committed to continuing to equip Ukraine, “the alliance confirms that what it is interested in is the continuation of hostilities,” Ms. Sakharova added.

Reacting to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, NATO launched defensive plans – including its nuclear defense -, agreed to redeploy rapid reaction forces, and deployed 40,000 military, air, and naval resources to its eastern flank.

Four additional battle formations are being set up so that they can be deployed immediately in Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary.

The representative of the Russian diplomacy accused the member states of the alliance that they reluctantly adopt the US desire to impose a complete blockade of Russia, to escalate the so-called deterrence strategy. He spoke in support of the US Alliance, but said that maintaining some independence was not the answer.

He also claimed that NATO was hiding US “secret laboratories” in Ukraine to investigate biological and chemical weapons – the US government has denied the allegations – while unjustly accusing Russia of planning to use nuclear, biological or chemical weapons. .

The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry also sharply described yesterday’s extraordinary NATO summit in Brussels with the phrase “brainwashing session”.
