Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis had telephone conversations with India Foreign Minister Dr. Subramaniam Jaisancar, and Pakistani Vice President and Foreign Minister Mohammed Isak Dar.

The Foreign Minister, Gerapetritis, welcomed the ceasefire agreement and called on the parties to continue the efforts to deprived through confidence building due to high instability in the area. It also confirmed Greece’s steady attitude against terrorism in all its forms and events and in favor of terrorist accountability for their actions.

Under very adverse conditions worldwide, with increasing conflict and attacks, all states must return to the basic principles of the United Nations Charter and in particular to the urgent need for peaceful dispute resolution.

Greece’s slogan at the UN Security Council becomes even more timely: dialogue, democracy, diplomacy. During the current presidency of the UN Security Council, Greece will not be attempted to promote world peace and security.
