Parliament is re -entering the orbit of Tempe from today, with parliament proceeding with two parallel procedures that restore the case to the foreground. On the one hand, Harilaou Trikoupi’s forthcoming request for the establishment of a pre -trial committee for the former Minister of Transport Kostas Karamanlison the other hand the draw of the Judicial Council for Chr. Triantopoulos today in plenary.

According to the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure of the House, the plenary session at 12 noon in a special agenda will draw a draw to highlight the five regular and three alternate members of the Judicial Council, as well as the Public Prosecutor and his Deputy Duties. The offense for which the supreme judges will control K. Triad concerns the possible commitment of the breach of duty (Article 259 CC) for the period between 3-3-2023 and 6-3-2023. From the names of the judicial officers included in the list of the eligible persons sent by the Ministry of Justice to Parliament will be drawn:

– 3 Regular Members in the Judicial Council of all members of the Supreme Court and 2 alternates (in a total of 87 eligible persons)

– 2 regular members in the Judicial Council of all 62 Council of State Councils and 1 alternate

– 1 Clergy to raise the judge who will perform the Judicial Council’s duties from the 27 total of the Supreme Court prosecutors and an alternate

The House Bureau will set up three total ballots one for members of the Supreme Court, one for members of the Council of State and one for members of the Supreme Court. The names of the judges involved in the draw will be read and then each will be wrapped and placed in an opaque pellet to get inside the ballot box. The procedure would have been promoted by the Speaker of the House, Nikitas Kaklamanis, who would retrieve the eligible pellets in order to announce the names. The Chairman and the members of the House Bureau will be attended by the special meeting in order to ensure the validity of the procedure.

Within the week, PASOK’s proposal is expected to set up a preliminary committee for Kostas Karamanlis and Christos Spirtzis. Information from Harilaou Trikoupi converges that crimes of criminal offenses will be described to former ministers, a request that the government majority will hardly accept, which holds a stand -by until the proposal is officially submitted. In any case, following its submission by the Officer Opposition, the Speaker of the House has a time of 7 to 22 days to set a special daily debate and vote in plenary. It is recalled that to approve a pre -trial request for an absolute majority of the entire number of Members (151).
