A cyberattack with the main objective of the Ministry of Education is due to the malfunction that occurred on Wednesday morning at the Bank of Themes in Lyceum.

Speaking to ERT, Digital Governance Minister Dimitris Papastergiou said that cyberattack resulted in all services on gov.gr and “was quickly treated by the people of gov.gr, resulting in 07:20 – 07:25 being over”.

It is noted that the Bank of themes fell shortly before the promotional and diploma exams began in the country’s schools.

As the Ministry of Education informed, an hour later, the operation of the system was finally restored.

Specifically, the announcement by the Ministry of Education said:

“The operation of the Bank of the issues of graded difficulty has been restored and access to the platform is now running normally.

The temporary malfunction was associated with the central mechanism of identification and graded access to users.

The issue has been addressed, centrally by all relevant ministries and the competent services and the system works smoothly. ”
