The President of the New Left accepts Koutsuba’s proposal for joint action, but calls for sanctions on Israel and ending military cooperation
The letter of the Secretary -General of the KKE Dimitris Koutsouba the president received Rear; Alexis Haritsisaccording to party sources.
Mr. Haritsis, as noted, welcomes the KKE’s intention to cooperate with regard to the Palestinian And the need to end the war in Gaza.
At the same time, it is in favor of continuing joint action and underlines the absence of the KKE from yesterday’s gathering of the Palestinian community in the Constitution. It makes clear, however, that the new Left accepts the invitation to co -op.
Reportedly, during his posting in Parliament, the President of the New Left is expected to emphasize that the KKE proposal needs to be reinforced and more militant and specific, proposing additional requests:
- Imposition of sanctions on Israel
- Support the suspension of the EU -Israel Connection Agreement
- End any form of military cooperation
- Pressure to the Government to take on initiatives at UN Council
“Solidarity must be tangible,” Mr Haritsis notes, adding that “Mr Mitsotakis’ government is following a dangerous political, moral and historical course.”
In closing, it also refers to the phrase of Noam Chomsky, according to which Gaza has turned into the “largest outdoor concentration camp in the world”, stressing that it should not be led to complete disaster.
