The Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis commented on his post the attempt to “Greek Solidarity” to participate in the course of Gauzeexpressing his strong opposition. He pointed out that, in his view, this attitude reflects a “naivety and nonsense” that, he notes, is not confined to Greece but is more widely characterized by the Left in the West.

At the same time, he criticized the fact that, according to him, these activists have not shown a similar interest in other conflicts or humanitarian crises, such as in Ukraine or Sudan, where – as he said – Christians are slaughtered daily by Islamists.

The whole post by Adonis Georgiadis:

In almost all western countries from the Left and various other margins, there is endless demonstrations for Gaza. They never did for Ukraine, for the Christians of Sudan who are slaughtered daily by the Islamists there, for the Yazidi that was exterminated by ISIS, but they close our streets and squares to Gaza and Hamas every day. We constantly hear them blame all the Western governments of “authoritarianism” etc “Junta Mitsotakis” in Greece and the like … So the “solidarity” arrived along their way to Gaza in Egypt and thought they would support them. But the world of Egypt has caught them in his hands, who knows the truth about what is going on, what is happening in Gaza and why the Egyptians are strictly guarding their borders with Gaza, and no one passed into Egypt from there, and they saw them. They are now seeking the help of their governments, the ones who find themselves as a “junta” etc to save them from the Egyptians. The naivety and nonsense of the left of the West goes beyond any imagination and unfortunately is not just a Greek phenomenon.
