They left PASOK, SYRIZA Committee

The finding was approved at the last meeting of the Special Preliminary Committee, which was completed in less than an hour, as the opposition withdrew, denouncing the process as unconstitutional.

In particular, PASOK MPs submitted a letter-apologies in which they point out that due to “unconstitutional” and “anti-defensive methods” of the majority of the committee, the conditions were not met in order to draw up a reasoned report, while arguing that the proposal of Kostas Ah. Karamanlis for referral directly to the Judicial Council without conducting the investigation is “unconstitutional and illegal”.

For a “biased attitude” he also denounced the majority by SYRIZA, arguing that he considers “hypocritical to draw up and submit a finding without completing the collection of all the necessary documents and evidence of the case file and without allowing witnesses”.

The finding will be submitted to the Speaker of the House in the afternoon, and on Tuesday, July 22, he will be discussed in plenary, where the final decision will be made by Mr Karamanlis to the Judicial Council.
