A unmanned drone attack was targeted by an oil well managed by the Norwegian oil and gas company DNO in Tauke in the administrative area of Zacho in northern Iraq today, according to the Kurdistan region’s anti -terrorism service.
The attack is the second on an oil well managed by DNO since launching a wave of drones earlier this week.
DNO, which manages Tauke and Pescabour oil wells in the Zacho area bordering Turkey, temporarily suspended production in these units after explosions, which did not cause injuries, the Anti -Terrorism Service said.
DNO did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
This week’s drones attacks have reduced the production by oil wells in the semi -autonomous Iraqi Kurdistan region by about 140,000 to 150,000 barrels a day, two energy officials said yesterday, as damage to infrastructure led to suspension of unit.
Ain Sifni, managed by the American Hunt Oil, was attacked yesterday. Hunt Oil announced that none of her team members were injured and that her facilities were closed while valuing the damage.
No organization has taken responsibility so far. However, Iraqi Kurdistan security sources said that the first investigations were derived from areas under the control of pro -Heavenly paramilitary organizations.
