The Minister of Labor, Kostis Hatzidakis, spoke to SKAI about the possibility of measures for the vaccinated and the catering.

Mr. Hatzidakis stressed that “we do not want the economy to close again” and that the government is monitoring the situation in other countries and relies on the views of experts.

“We are harmonizing with what is happening in Europe.”

At the same time, he stated that one of the goals of the government is the expansion of vaccinations, while he pointed out that in general “Greece has not gone worse than the EU average”.

As for the possibility of measures, he said that there will be announcements from the government in the coming days.

For the focus, on the other hand, he said he is asking for more relaxation which is in the opposite direction.

“It is one of the sectors that is certainly affected, but it has taken along with tourism the most compensatory. “42 billion euros have been given to support the economy,” he stressed.

Finally, regarding the case of the health supervisor who urged patients not to listen to doctors and led to the death of a woman, the Minister of Labor said that there should be exemplary punishment at all levels.
