Greece’s permanent delegation UN yesterday submitted the Greek response to her verbal decoration Libyafully rejecting Tripoli’s allegations based on the maps of the legal agreements between Athens, Cairo, Rome, and the basic principles of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

It is recalled that the government of Tripoli with reckoning (a letter to the UN/79/600 of June 20) essentially denounced Athens on the occasion of the publication in the European Journal of June 12 of the maps concerning the concession of two plots in the southwest of Crete to American Chevron.

In essence, Tripoli defended the boundaries of turquoiseas they had been engraved in 2019 between the then Government of Estrad al -Saraj and Ankara.

The Greek answer reflects, inter alia, the boundaries of the coastal zone of Greece, which in the Ionian Sea and up to the Cape Tainaro reach 12 nautical miles, the external boundaries of the Greek continental shelf and the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) and the AEZ, EEZ and continental shelf).
