The week of August 15th, which begins today, marks the beginning of the countdown to the return of the political life of the place to regularity.
If anything distinguishes the present context is that this year’s August has not worked unconstitutional to relieve tensions on the political scene. The opposite. One could say that they are actively showing all the “fronts”: within the government, in its relations with the opposition, the opposition parties with each other, the processes for new political formations.
The government puts TIF as a landmark. The whole effort focuses on forming a strong “package” of benefits, on which all expectations of climate reversal have been invested in polls and shows a retreat. The TIF will be a focal point for the interior of the government majority.
Leadership’s relations with the parliamentary group are not the best possible and handling of voting for proposals for a pre -trial investigation for the OPECEPE caused even greater dissatisfaction. Can the government long move if the impression that leadership is afraid of Members?
However, if the echo of the measures announced at the TIF shows that the climate is changing and that the government is gaining points on the electoral base again, depending on the mood of MPs, it is estimated. After all, the dissatisfaction of many stems from the anxiety that they will not be elected again on the basis of today’s polls.
The OPECEPE scandal is the parameter that can at any time overthrow any designs. The rumors of new files remains, as is the concern of continuity in revelations about involvement of party executives. At the same time, with the start of the new parliamentary period the issue will again be concerned with the House, where the Inquiry Committee proposed by the majority will have to begin its work. In one way or another, the issue will continue to concern us.
The government leadership will seek to prove that the present government is not about the tiredness that governments in half of the second four years is not concerned.
This implies that moves should be made at the level of legislative and promotion of reforms that confirm that there is no issue of reformary fatigue.
There is, however, a given that cannot be ignored. That after six years of governance by ND And Kyriakos Mitsotakis, citizens do not show the same tolerance, nor do they have a waiting attitude to see if and how much political initiatives will. They expect results immediately and tangible, not communicative management and referral to an unspecified future.
The TIF will be a crucial crash test for the economy. There, in practice, the government’s willingness and ability to respond to the persistent problems of consolidated accuracy, housing crisis, the need to boost income.
Information insists that the final height of the measures will be significantly higher than what has already been announced. The final mix will be decided next time. With a basic point of “touching” as many as possible and priority in the middle class.
