Will Alexis Tsipras New party? Rumors have “flared up” again after the interview with Le Monde and everyone foreshadows that the former prime minister will take the next step. From his environment they deny the dignity and it is a fact that there are no signs to show that a “political corridor” has been laid out. Not even any staffing by new faces has been recorded in his wider environment, but even the scientific council of his Insitutus has been formed. He is currently writing his book that will be presented by the end of the year. Last week he was combing his basic uppercase outside Athens and has now returned. Perhaps the book that is preparing to be the focal point with which he will make it clear that he is now determined to open his step.
The general feeling is that the former president of SYRIZA He is looking for the right timing for his return to the central political scene. SYRIZA executives and MPs estimate that autumn developments will be the catalyst for developments along with the party’s post -TIFs. Alexis Tsipras’ presence in Thessaloniki at the Economist conference has already been discussed much before the speech of Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Velidio where he will announce the government’s benefits package. The dipole that dominated from January 2016 to June 2023, with his resignation from the presidency of SYRIZA, will revive the earlier month. It is certain that the Prime Minister, at the established press meeting on September 7, will be asked about the new position of Mr Tsipras.
Safe estimates of the movements of the former SYRIZA president cannot be made, as even his closest associates either do not know what his thoughts are or do not reveal the discussions on Amalia Avenue where his “headquarters” are. The next elections are landmark, as the suggestions it receives are dual. Several executives, perhaps the majority, do not think that something can go before the next ballot boxes, but there are also those who argue that the former prime minister should exploit the momentum and the inability to make an alternative to Kyriakos.
In Koumoundourou they do not comment on the former prime minister’s interventions and they do not see them in no way contrasting. It is a fact that they are in the most difficult position especially when SYRIZA’s political opponents comment that once Alexis Tsipras is a MP of Piraeus he may be politically active. There are executives who see that their former president is normal to defend the historical burden of both his own and the leading party. They estimate and argue that the actions for the unity of space and the creation of a strong current must be many. There is, however, the opinion, even among MPs who believe that if the former prime minister does not clarify the landscape soon, SYRIZA will hardly be able to present a democratic rise that will bring him to double -digit rates. There is always the “puzzle” whether there will be a collapse with the former comrades of the new left next time.
To PASOK The timing of both the interview with Le Monde and the presence of the former prime minister in Thessaloniki on September 5th at the Economist conference did not go unnoticed. In Harilaou Trikoupis, they move on a horizon of two events next time. The anniversary of September 3rd where the party’s program for the demographic party, as well as the presence of Nikos Androulakis, will be presented for the first time at the TIF as leader of the opposition. The last thing they would like are these events to be overshadowed by the script for the creation of a new body in the center -left. They do not believe in PASOK that the former leader of Koumoundouros can bring something new to the political scene beyond an initial “Doro” that will cause a possible initiative. They believe that with yesterday’s materials that have been tested, the future of the democratic party cannot be built. They also see some executives that some of the media supporting the government seem to be eagerly awaiting the “Tsipras Party”, as this would serve the perpetuation of New Democracy’s sovereignty.
Alexis Tsipras’ possible return is not just about the center -left since in the New Democracy there is an assessment that they will have an opponent from the old ones who will help significantly in their gathering. In such a case, the 2015-2019 period will be found again under the “microscope” of Piraeus, bringing to the fore the “bad texts” of the SYRIZA – ANEL governance.
