Eight MPs of New Democracy signed a question together to Minister of Labor; Ceramic Victory. Their issue is the need to adjust and restore injustices for former widow’s pensions OGA.
Members say: ‘There are serious inequalities and injustices to these pensioners, which most are vulnerable, that this separation creates the sense of two -speed citizens, which contradicts the principles of equality and tie and how the needs and conditions of living survivors are the same for everyone and do not depend on everyone.“
They therefore ask the Minister:
“How many are the beneficiaries of the former OGA widow’s pension for deaths that occurred before 13/5/2016?
What would be the estimated budgetary cost if these cases join the provisions of Law 4387/2016?
Does the Ministry intend to proceed with the relevant legislation to restore injustice and the equation of old and new widow’s pensions?‘
The eight signatories are:
Giorgos Karasmanis (Pella), Charalambos Athanasiou (Lesvos), Vassilis Yogiakas (Thesprotia), Athanasios Kavvadas (Lefkada), Georgios Kotronias (Fthiotidas), Theophilos Leontaridis (Serres), Theophilos Leontaridis (Serres)
