A series of payments to producers is being launched in the next period, as announced by the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Costas Tsiaras, after a three -hour meeting held by agencies, farmers, breeders and producers representatives of Thessaly.

“The next time begins a series of payments, starting with the payment of old organic products, feeding compensation due to blessing and, of course, compensation for fertile materials found in some farms after Daniel,” he said.

At the same time, he said, other critical payments are being launched that boost liquidity in the primary sector. “The effort is made to pay and the basic aid as close as possible to the time that is determined, as well as Measure 23, the advance payment of the plant capital for” Daniel “, the reconstitution of vegetable capital – that is, payments that will give Greece a real breath, not only in Greece.”

Mr Tsiaras also pointed out that “it is a very difficult time for the primary sector and I think we all understand this. We must all take the necessary steps together, possibly showing the necessary calm, but mainly by identifying all the elements that will not place us in a similar position, in which the primary sector itself was found in the past. “

He noted that this effort is always made “in consultation with the European Commission, keeping the smooth flow of European resources as a highest priority and giving our best. We make every effort to support the primary sector and its people, especially during this difficult time. “

In terms of smallpox, the minister referred extensively to the ongoing coordinated effort, both for the implementation of the measures and the scientifically documented decisions on vaccination. He stressed that the effective treatment of zoonosos requires collective responsibility and cooperation of all stakeholders. “If there is no honest cooperation and isolation of all the factors that contribute to the spread of the disease, whatever effort is done, we will find the disease in front of us. The only way to deal with the issue of blessing is to work with seriousness, responsibility and efficiency in its eradication, “he concluded.

In detail the statements by the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Kostas Tsiara:

As soon as a meeting we had with Thessaly bodies, farmers, breeders, producers in general, who have raised issues that have been concerned with them lately. Obviously, the most important are the delayed payments by OPEKEPE, a reality that is dictated by our efforts to move OPEKEPE to AADE, that is, in the age of transparency and justice.

The fact that checks must be intensified before completing each payment, which is also requested by the European Commission, is a prerequisite for all of us in order not to repeat the problems and to eliminate the pathogens of the past. We were able to have a truly honest discussion – at least on my side so I feel it – which came to the conclusion: that the next time begins a series of payments, starting with the payment of old organic products, the damages for feeding, and for the festivities,

And the effort is made to pay the basic aid as close as possible to the time that is determined, as well as Measure 23, the advance payment of the plant capital for “Daniel”, the reconstitution of vegetable capital, that is, payments, that is, to give a real breath, not only to Greece but in Greece.

It’s a very difficult time for the primary sector and I think we all understand this. We must all take the necessary steps together, possibly showing the necessary calm, but mainly by identifying all the elements that will not place us in a similar position in which the primary sector itself was found in the past. Always in consultation with the European Commission, always keeping the smooth flow of European resources as a top priority and always giving our best. We make every effort to support the primary sector and its people, the world of the primary sector, especially during this difficult time.

Regarding the smallpox, we discussed the problems that have been created, the measures that the ministry intensified in cooperation with the other stakeholders, the regions and the farmers themselves. Everyone must exaggerate ourselves if we are to deal with this particular zoos, while at the same time working together for all stakeholders, just to limit it and avoid further reduction in our livestock.

For vaccination: We discussed the issue of vaccination, which was raised. Yes, there is a European Commission to ask the issue of vaccination, but as we all know very well, the two veterinary schools – which have leading scientists among them – are categorical against the implementation of vaccination against smallpox.

For the possibility of a Lockdown: We have said many times that the ultimate measure to deal with smallpox is a general lockdown. We are making every effort not to get there, and this effort – I repeat – in order to have the result we expect, all those involved must take over the place or part of the responsibility that is appropriate to them.

For yesterday’s meeting and the new measures: yesterday, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister, Kostis Hatzidakis, a broad meeting was held on the measures and the implementation of the measures against smallpox, where their further tightening was decided.

I would like to send a message in every direction: Obviously the Ministry of Rural Development also has its own responsibility on the issue of dealing and taking the measures in order to limit smallpox. But we must all understand that if there is no honest cooperation of all the factors, whatever effort is – since we are talking about a virus that lives for about six months – we will find the disease in front of us. The only way to deal with the issue of smallpox is to work with seriousness, responsibility and efficiency to eradicate it.
