A meeting with representatives of the National Social Partners was convened by the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Niki Kerameos, on Thursday, October 9, 2025.
Mrs Kerameos’ specific initiative was held in the context of the preparation of the Action Plan to strengthen collective bargaining and the mechanisms of regulation of labor relations.
As stated in a related announcement, an extremely fruitful dialogue took place during which proposals were exchanged and convergence signs were sought.
The new final cycle of consultation will continue next time with new meetings by the Minister with representatives of the National Social Partners, with the aim of achieving the maximum possible consensus.
It should be noted that, since May 2025, a substantial dialogue has begun, at a technical level, among the representatives of the National Social Partners, under the coordination of the Secretary General of Labor Relations, Nikos Malasis, during which all the parties were mapped and identified.
At the same time, an extensive period of time was foreseen in order for this dialogue to crystallize and translate into tangible proposals.
The deadline for submitting these proposals by the National Social Partners is set for October 31, 2025, and the Action Plan will have been drawn up by the end of this year.
The meeting was attended by EU President Yiannis Panagopoulos, BSE President Spyros Theodoropoulos, ESEE President Stavros Kafounis, EBE President George Kavvathas, SETE President Yiannis Parasis Labor Relations, Nikos Malapidis.
