Legal adventure on two fronts in the next period for the Psomiadis brothers regarding cases related to their tenure in the former Prefecture of Thessaloniki and concerning the period 2005 – 2010, with the damage to the State having been determined at 6.5 million euros.

Today, formally, the case of the alleged as illegal recruitment of employeesfor which Panagiotis and Dionysis Psomiadis had been acquitted in an earlier period, but Areios Pagos overturned it, as a result of which he returned to the audience.

The court heard the case, previously rejecting a request for an adjournment requested by the lawyer of the accused brothers (citing the health reasons of his clients), and it was finally adjourned to November 21.

The other one is also interrupted case with the same defendants, as well as four other persons: it is for the so-called “45s”, projects that seem to have been divided into several smaller ones, worth up to 45 thousand eurosin order to be given by direct assignments and preliminary tenders to specific contractors, as stated in the indictment.

The case file includes 456 such projects, while the start of the trial, again before the Three-member Court of Criminal Appeals (but with a different composition), was set for October 22 (the case was heard the previous week).
