The height agreement 8 billion pounds (approx. 9 billion euros) provides for the supply of 20 modern Eurofighters.

“I was very pleased to welcome to our country the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, my dear friend Mr. Starmer.

Our talks today focused on our trade and defense relations. We are determined to increase our trade volume to $30 billion and then to $40 billion.

We are determined to further strengthen our economic relations.

Our relevant institutions and organizations are taking many measures, including updating our Free Trade Agreement.

We are also looking at possibilities for joint investments in third countries.

We aim to create new partnerships in the field of energy and defense industry.

Furthermore, we are particularly pleased that many UK citizens consider Turkey their second home.

In order to utilize this potential in the best way, we have started negotiations to sign a Bilateral Cooperation Framework Document.

The implementing arrangements for the supply of Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets were signed during the talks between the delegations. I and Mr Starmer also signed a statement of cooperation on this matter.

I see this agreement as a new symbol of our strategic relations as two close allies.

Today, we also had the opportunity to reassess the developments in Gaza with my dear friend.

We see the UK’s decision to recognize the State of Palestine as a bold step towards a two-state solution.

Considering the upcoming winter conditions, the delivery of the humanitarian aid needed by the people of Gaza is of the utmost importance.

Maintaining the ceasefire achieved in Gaza and preventing violations is the responsibility of all of us.

I believe we will take action together with the United Kingdom on this issue.”
