The president of PASOK-Movement for Change, made a tour in the shopping center of Volos, where he talked to residents and shopkeepers, Nikos Androulakis.
Mr. Androulakis reiterated the Movement’s proposal to impose a ceiling on the retail price of electricity tomorrow morning, in order to provide a tangible solution to the huge bills paid by citizens and to protect family income.
He even stifled the impatience of the government as well as SYRIZA to adopt this proposal, which exists in the toolkit of interventions, proposed by the European Commission to the member states.
The President of PASOK-Movement for Change also visited the Volos Fire Service.
“Here in Volos, too, it is clear that the adventure of the energy crisis is undermining the most vulnerable households and businesses. Mr. Mitsotakis did not manage to get the Iberian exception by putting a ceiling on the wholesale price. Something that Mr. Sandeth and Mr. Costa achieved.
So he must immediately pursue another policy, which is already in the toolbox of the European Commission proposals. And this is the ceiling on the retail price of energy. It is the only way, the only political decision that will stop the huge accounts, which undermine social cohesion and increase social inequalities.
