The “obligation” to take collective action “to support households, especially the most vulnerable and small and medium-sized enterprises in the face of huge increases in energy prices” is expected to be transferred the Minister of Energy and Environment, Costas Skrekas as he stated while attending the Extraordinary Council of Ministers in Brussels.
In particular, Mr. Skrekas noted:
“Russia’s catastrophic war against Ukraine is escalating with thousands of civilians killed and a huge energy crisis threatening the whole of Europe. Today in the Council of Energy Ministers I will convey the message of the Greek government and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for solidarity with the Ukrainian people, for ensuring the adequacy of Europe’s gas supply but also for the obligation to take collective action in support of of the most vulnerable but also of small and medium enterprises in the face of huge increases in energy prices “.
